KDE

• KuickShow,
  a very fast image viewer/browser. There's some screenshots and tarballs for downloading at http://devel-home.kde.org/~pfeiffer/kuickshow/
  KuickShow was the "Application of the Month in January 2004 on www.kde.de.

  KuickShow is available in the kdegraphics package since KDE 3.0.


• Klipper,
  a small tool offering a history of clipboard entries and the possibility to execute actions, depending on the clipboard contents. It performs a regular expression based pattern matching when the clipboard changes, following user-configured rules and executes configured commands if the expression matches.
  Klipper is available in the kdebase package since KDE 1.1.


• kmrml
  kmrml is an MRML-Client (MRML stands for Multimedia Retrieval Markup Language). It serves as a frontend to the GNU Image Finding Tool, allowing you to perform image queries by content (i.e. searching for images looking similar to other example images). See http://www.fer-de-lance.org/ for the project initiated by Wolfgang Müller to bring intelligent searching facilities to the Desktop. Some screenshots and tarballs are available for downloading here. The University of Würzburg has a nice introduction (German) to content based queries.
  KMrml is available in the kdegraphics package since KDE 3.1.


• The KDE Filedialog
  The filedialog is very configurable and features reusable classes for directory browsing (e.g. used as image browser in KuickShow).


• Several other classes in the KDE libraries, especially those concerning text/url "completion"


• Keyz,
  the global shortcuts plugin for Noatun, the KDE Mediaplayer. Allows controlling volume, seeking, skipping songs, stopping etc. without clicking buttons or searching for the Noatun window.
  Keyz is available in the kdemultimedia package since KDE 3.0.


• The persistent URL history in Konqueror


• The khtmlsettings plugin
  allowing you to quickly turn on/off Java, JavaScript, Cookies, Image Loading, the Proxy Server and lets you change the cache policy, all without digging through configuration dialog mazes.
  This plugin is available in the kdeaddons package since KDE 2.2.


• The System Notifications KControl module


• Last but not least: the KDE-Developers Plugin for the KDE Addressbook
  This plugin captures the names and email addresses of all KDE Developers with a CVS account and puts them into the addressbook. That way, they are always available for auto-completion in KMail.
  This plugin is available in the kdesdk package since KDE 3.1.

• KGet
  Recently, I got interested in this nice download manager and so I've begun working on it. Besides bugfixing, I added the ability to automatically download multiple files from a website, without having to click and and enter the desired filename/directory all the time. KGet is in the kdenetwork package since KDE 3.1.


• Umbrello
  This excellent UML Modeller for KDE is what I've been looking for for a long time! No more UML diagrams in xfig :)
