I am a postdoc in the Machine Learning Group at Berlin Institute of Technology (TU Berlin). Prior to joining TU Berlin, I have been working at Fraunhofer Institute FIRST. I received a Diploma in computer science from Freie Universität Berlin in 2004 and a Ph.D. from TU Berlin in 2009.
My research interests lie in the areas of computer security and machine learning. This includes intrusion detection and prevention, analysis of malicious software and its communication, as well as efficient learning techniques for structured data (sequences, trees and graphs).
My Erdös Number is 3 (Müller|Rätsch|Sonnenburg > Jagota > Erdös).
