Abstract
Modern hunting tools like spears and clubs provide a dramatic increase
of hunting efficiency. For even small tribes slaying fairly large
beasts, like mammuts, becomes possible. Since carrying home mammuts
is one of the major problems in modern hunting, we propose a new tool, called
wheel, that provides efficient transportation of mammuts.
1 Introduction
Since modern hunting tools (see fig. 1) like spear and club are
available, hunting is much easier and much more fun.

Figure 1. Modern hunting tools: spear, club, and sharp stones
These tools enable men to hunt tasty beasts like mammut (see fig. 2).

Figure 2. Tasty: a mammut
Hunting is typically done by the tribe's men. The beast is tracked,
followed and then, with a good deal of courage, slain under loud
battle cry (see fig. 3).

Figure 3. A hunting scene
After the beast is dead, the warriors might sing some kind of song or
do some kind of dancing or something like that (see fig. 4).

Figure 4. Slain mammut
The major problem in hunting is the transportation of the dead beasts.
Carrying mammuts all the way back to the home cave is considered quite
boring (see fig. 5). This is why our tribe spent a good deal of research activities in
developing new methods of transportation.

2 Theoretical Background
Our main idea is that things sometimes roll down hills without being carried, like
stones or chopped heads. Other things do not show that behavior, e.g. blankets or
stiff grannies.
This leads us to the result that only approximately head-shaped stones
roll down hills without being carried. Fig. 6 shows our prototypical wheel.
It easily rolls down hills and with little effort can be rolled on a plain ground.

3 Applications
The wheel is well suited for mammut transportation. The mammut need to be tied on
the wheel and then the wheel rolls home on its own (see fig. 7).

4 Conclusion and further Research
This work was a total success. Our future research will focus on wheels that role up-hills.
