Overview
I'm a PostDoc in machine learning at the Intelligent Data
Analysis group at the Berlin Institute of Technology (
Technische
Universität
Berlin),
Germany and member of the Berlin Brain-Computer Interface group (
BBCI). My current
research interest
includes BCI for patients, new auditory BCI paradigms, mental state monitoring for BCI, workload
analysis in real-time applications, EEG-based gaming. On
the algorithmic side this includes methods for feature selection
and adaptation. Furthermore I am interested in audio
perception and in industrial applications for machine learning. To
investigate most of these topics I perform experiments with
healthy subjects and patients and analyze their brain activity based
on EEG,
ECoG, NIRS and MEG signals.
My
publication list
gives a more detailed
picture of my research activities. On some topics you may also find short
overviews. I'm also involved with
teaching.
News
- Organized a press conference with live demo of BCI-controlled pinball gaming (with the Addams Family Pinball machine)
- New work on playing pinball with BCI control was published
in NIPS 2008
- TOBI has
started
in november 2008. It combines 11 BCI groups from 5 countries.
Goal: BCI assistive technology is applied for patients with
motor
disabilities.
- Hooray! Our grant proposal for a large European
integrated
project (7th framework) was accepted. The new acronym to get
used
to: TOBI
(tools for brain-computer interaction).
