S1 (1942-43)

 

The S1 was a special computer for the henschel-Aircraft Company in Berlin The program was realized by stepwise relays. The S1 was not freely programmable. The S1 had a fix point arithmetic unit and a word length of 12 bit. The application was the calculation of the fluttering of wings.

 

The S1 was destroyed in December 1943 by an air raid of the allies.
